Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Company, in conjunction with Neenah Foundry Company, is proud to announce the purchase of Bingham & Taylor, a family-owned manufacturer of underground infrastructure access solutions serving water and gas utility customers across North America. Headquartered in Culpeper, Virginia, Bingham & Taylor specializes in providing high-quality meter and valve access products, including boxes, lids, and pits, with a strong emphasis on American-made quality, innovation, and utility-grade durability.

Bingham & Taylor operates a cast iron foundry in Culpeper and a plastics injection-molding plant and a blow-molding plant in Fredericksburg, Virginia.

Finalists were selected through a multi‑judge review led by the NAASE Board with support from external advisors. Judges scored submissions independently, and then the scores were calibrated. Evaluation focused on the last 12 months: measurable customer and revenue impact, innovation in solutions and process, and leadership or service to the SE community.

Amanda is a sales engineering leader who has grown from civil and airfield design into customer-facing work, pairing deep infrastructure expertise with clear storytelling. This year, she guided a DOT-aligned product redesign, utilizing FEA to secure conditional approval and deliver safer, lighter castings that reduce emissions and costs. She also built SOPs and training for a five-person SE team, speeding ramp, and raising standards. Her nomination recognizes this redesign and enablement.

NEENAH ENTERPRISES, INC. ANNOUNCES NEW CEO

Vik Bhatia CEO on Neenah Enterprises, Inc

Neenah, WI., May 4, 2023 – Neenah Enterprises, a wholly owned subsidiary of Charlotte Pipe and Foundry Co., has announced that its board of directors has appointed Vik Bhatia to serve as CEO.

“We are thrilled to have an executive of Vik’s character and experience join our team,” said Roddey Dowd, Jr., chairman of the board of Neenah Enterprises. “Vik not only has experience running complex heavy manufacturing operations, but he has a deep understanding of the waterworks market.”

Bhatia had served as president of U.S. Pipe since April 2019. Prior to that, he was with the company as an executive vice president of Forterra, helping integrate businesses across the U.S. Pipe product platform.

Before joining Forterra, Bhatia served as executive vice president of strategic initiatives at Copart Inc., a publicly traded global provider of online auctions and vehicle remarketing services. He also spent 14 years at Boston Consulting Group, a global management consulting firm, in various roles and with numerous responsibilities, most recently serving as partner and managing director from 2009 to December 2014.

“We could not ask for a better fit than Vik,” said Tom Slabe, the outgoing CEO of Neenah Enterprises, who will remain a member of the Board of Directors. “Vik’s background, experience, and understanding of the unique culture at Neenah make him the ideal person to lead the company to the next level.
